Sewing: Purple Bandana Easy Dress

I've seen different variations of this dress, and thought I'd give it a try. Boy was it easy! I think it may have taken about 30 minutes to complete! Wow, and $2.50 maybe $3.00 total?

Hankerchiefs come in so many different colors now, and this piece can be worn so many ways! Bow in the front, Bow in the back, leave off the ribbon and it's a skirt, use it as a cover-up from the sun on the beach, you name it!

The great part is, you don't have to use hankerchiefs to do this! you can use any square or rectangle fabric, as long as you have enough of it!

1. First, cut the hankerchiefs so they make a rectangle,
2. Then sew the sides together.
3. Fold over the top to make room for the elastic,
4. Sew on the ribbon,
5. Then hem it .

  1. It didn't hit me until seeing this dress, that these we were all dress conversions for babies(or little children) to wear. Not sure why, but it just hit me. Hahaha, they look good though. Really like the one made from the old shirt.
